My dad was Sgt. George Stewart Sipple, 456th PFA. I am trying to learn about his experiences in the military. I was thrilled when I found his name on your website. He is listed under casualties July 13, 1943 at Biazza Ridge.

I have since read several descriptions of the Battle at Biazza Ridge. They say it began on July 10 and German resistance ceased by nightfall of July 11. This raises questions for me that Iím hoping I can find answerers to.

Did all fighting on Biazza Ridge end on the 11th as my research suggests? Is there anyway I can confirm that my dad did or did not participate in Biazza Ridge (or any other battle)? I would also like to know if the complete casualty list from which you apparently posted excerpts is available to the public?

Any comments, suggestions or insights are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for this website.

Hello, stumbled in the door accidentally. My dad Roy Lynwood MOntague, Jr. was in the 463rd PFA as well as the 82nd and 101st. I have no idea what that all means, I just know he was a proud screaming eagle. He fought in Sicily, anzio, market garden, Remagen, d-day, Bastogne, Berchtesgaden, came home in 1945 got engaged on VJ Day, married in April of 1946, had twins in 1947, had two more children in 1953 and 1956, worked for a company for 30 years, and died of multiple myeloma in 1975 at the age of 58. He rarely spoke about his service to us but did share quite a bit with his daughter in law and son In Law. We have only recently learned more details of his remarkable war record. Would live to hear from anyone who may have known him. Thanks for reading this.

Stumbled upon this page looking for something entirely different, searching on my father's name. My father was Ivan J. Warmuth, US Army retired in '62. He is mentioned in your website - thank you for maintaining this important record.

My grandfather, P. Gordon Bernhardt, served with the 463rd PFA proudly. I was very excited to find this page so that I could learn just a little of the great sacrifice he and so many others made in service. Thank you to Bill and Ken for all of this. It was incredible to read his own words on "The Official 463rd PFA" page. Unfortunately, he passed away two years ago, but he and the others who served will continue to be remembered for what they did.

I found your site while researching my grandfather. His name was Pvt.Dale A. Pearo, he was a member of the 463rd PFA A Btry. He was KIA Dec 26, 1944. My mother wasn't even a year old when he died so we have almost no information. If anyone can give us any type of information, stories, photos etc we would appreciate it greatly. I am proud that my family on both sides served and want to be able to pass the information on to my children along with any personal stories anyone might have of him
